In his role as CIO, Sean is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the General Account assets of both Minnesota Life and Securian Life. Sean provides leadership for all commercial mortgages, private credit and alternative investments.

Experience

Sean joined Securian Asset Management in 1993 as a senior analyst, specializing in real estate-related investments. During his tenure, he has developed expertise in a variety of asset classes and managed analysts covering real estate, structured finance research, and security recommendations for the General Account. Sean was promoted to his current CIO position in 2020.
