In her role, Erica is a member of the Securian Asset Management (Securian AM) senior management team, responsible for operational results and business strategy. She manages 12 analysts and traders who serve both yield oriented- and total return-strategies, totaling more than $21 billion. Her team drives performance through a thesis‑based, cross-sector approach for sector and security selection. Balanced investments in the team and technology help meet high standards of productivity, collaboration and risk management.

Experience

Erica has been active in the investment industry since 1983. She joined Securian AM in 1993 as an investment officer in structured finance. Erica has held a variety of analyst positions, before moving into her current position in 2010.

Community

An active supporter of the local community, Erica serves on the financial leadership committee of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and investment committee of the Girl Scouts–River Valleys. She also serves as a mentor for student-run investment funds at the Carlson School of Management and Bethel University.
