As the CIO for Securian Asset Management, Craig is responsible for externally facing investment strategies. He leads the quantitative analysis and research group, and is also the co-portfolio manager for the Equity Stabilization strategies and Securian Asset Management’s (Securian AM) Real Asset Income portfolios. Craig also serves as vice president for Securian Financial.
Experience
Craig joined Securian Financial in 2005 and has been active in the investment industry for nearly 20 years. He is responsible for derivatives, agency MBS (mortgage-backed security), government and municipal bonds, quantitative analytics, cash management, asset and liability management (ALM), and strategic asset allocation for the Minnesota Life General Account. Craig previously provided quantitative analysis, security and portfolio risk statistics, and derivatives hedging capabilities for Securian AM and its clients. He was appointed to the Risk Council and Home Office Council in 2015. Craig was promoted to his current CIO position in 2020.

Craig is a board member of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations. He also serves on the investment committees for the foundations and the Minnesota Historical Society for Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations. He is also on the Investment Committee for the Minnesota Historical Society.
